What is StyleIgnite?

Browse the latest webdesign styles by visiting the Style Gallery. From here, you can view hundreds of styles that have been submitted by our members. Each style has an image to show you what the style looks like, as well as the authors details, how to use the style and licensing information.
Some of the categories we have are:
- CSS Layouts (one column, two column, fluid, fixed etc)
- Navigation menus (horizontal, vertical etc)
- Text styles (headings, quotes, bullets, links etc)
- Site Elements (buttons, content boxes, image effects etc)
- Forms (input fields, buttons, fieldsets, validation messages etc)
- Graphics (gradients, icons, backgrounds etc)
- Misc (bars/charts/graphs, tooltips, rating stars etc)
Download
Once you have found a style you like, you can download the code/images required to use the style. We will either link to the authors site (due to licensing distribution restrictions) OR provide the files for you to download and use OR provide the code you require as a code snippet (i.e. copy and paste from our site).
Some of the files which you will find on Styleignite are:
- CSS code
- HTML code
- JavaScript code
- Photoshop files
- JPG/GIF/PNG images
- ZIP/RAR files
Use
Put the style to use on your site. Follow the 'How to use' instructions to implement the style on your site.
If you get stuck, post a comment on the style and another member of Styleignite will (hopefully) help you!

Who benefits from StyleIgnite?
For Web Designers:
StyleIgnite is useful for designers as a source of inspiration to help you design new layouts, graphics and techniques. You can also submit your own styles and see what the world thinks!
For Web Developers:
StyleIgnite is useful for web developers as an easy way to help you make a sexy looking website without the design skills that are normally required.
You can browse the Style Gallery and find styles which you like. You can then get the html and css code necessary to reproduce the style on your site (pending any licensing requirements ofcourse!).
As this is a community site, you are encouraged to then rate the style (no login required) and submit comments (improvements you have made, help on how to use the style etc).

StyleIgnite History:
Development on StyleIgnite started in March 2007 and the site went live in September 2007. There are many more features which will be added over the coming months.
The technologies used for the site are PHP 5, MySQL 5, CodeIgniter and Apache. Feel free to drop us a line if you wish to find out more information.
